We have created a new section of the website where we will keep parents up-to-date with the proposals to create a new management structure for the schools in this area: Kinlochbervie High School and the 3 associated primary schools in Scourie, Kinlochbervie and Durness.
Highland Council is considering at changing the way schools are managed in order to address some of the current challenges:
- sustainability of small schools
- declining school rolls
- difficulty in attracting and retaining Head Teachers
- increasing demands on Head Teachers who are also classroom teachers
